Esteban Onate, RPA-C

Esteban is a New York State registered and Nationally Certified Physician Assistant working in Gastroenterology. He is responsible for patient consultation and care in both the office and hospital setting. Before a career in the medical field, he earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Syracuse University, working in the private sector for several years. Esteban decided to pursue his career in medicine, subsequently returning for further education and graduating from Lemoyne College as a Certified Physician Assistant.

He currently holds privileges at both Faxton- St. Lukes Healthcare and St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Esteban is a family orientated individual who enjoys time with his wife and children. He is fitness-minded and exercises to stay in shape, play basketball, golf, and coach his children’s soccer teams.

AnneMarie Trevisani Labella, RPA-C

AnneMarie has been a Certified Physician Assistant with Digestive Disease Medicine since August 2008. She is a 2005 graduate of Utica College of Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 2008, she earned her Master of Science degree from Albany Medical College and became a Certified Physician’s Assistant.

Annemarie is a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and holds privileges at Faxton- St.Luke’s Healthcare and St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Michele Dischiavo RPA-C

Michele Dischiavo is a certified physician assistant with 20 years of experience caring for patients. She has been with Digestive Disease Medicine since 2013. She completed her physician assistant training at Albany Medical College in 2000 and Bachelor of Science degree at SUNY Brockport in 1994. Michele is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and holds privileges at Faxton- St.Luke’s Healthcare and St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Michelle Rhymestine RPA-C

Michelle has been working for Digestive Disease Medicine as a Physician Assistant since 2019.

Michelle graduated from St. John Fisher College in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science, and after working in the microbiology field for several years, went back to school and graduated from D’Youville College in 2000 with a second Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant.

Much of her 20 years of experience has been in working with patients in primary care. She holds privileges at both St. Elizabeth and Faxton St. Luke’s Medical Centers. Michelle lives in Cassville with her husband and two children.

Deborah Clarey, NP

Deborah is a Registered Nurse First Assistant and Board Certified Nurse Practitioner who has been working with Digestive Disease Medicine since 1999. 

In 1993 Deborah earned her Associates Nursing Degree from SUNY Morrisville before going on to SUNY Institute of Technology in 1997 to earn her Bachelors in Nursing.  In 1999, she went on to Community General Hospital receiving her degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Prior to becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner she worked as a Registered Nurse in various settings.

Deborah is s a member of the Nurse practitioners Association-Syracuse Chapter, American Operating Room Nurse Association (AORN), and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

She currently holds privileges at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Faxton-St. Lukes Healthcare and Oneida Hospital.

In her free time Deborah enjoys boating, gardening and being with friends and family. 

 

Lisa Sullivan, RN, MS, CSNP

Lisa began working as a Nurse Practitioner for Digestive Disease Medicine over 14 years ago. She has been a Nurse Practitioner for the past 19 years.

In 1985, she earned her nursing degree from St. Elizabeth Medical Center, continuing on to SUNY Institute of Technology receiving her Bachelor of Science in nursing in 1990. In 1994, she went on to Syracuse University receiving her Master’s of Science in Nursing and became a Nurse Practitioner. She holds her National Nurse Practitioner certification through ANCC.

Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she worked as a critical care nurse and as a clinical instructor for a local hospital. She then went on to work in a private practice as a Nurse Practitioner.

Lisa is a member of New York State Nurse Practitioner Association, as well as the local chapter. She is on the advisory board and speaker’s bureau for a national pharmaceutical company. She has been a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society since 1994.

Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and their families attending Syracuse University basketball and football games, boating and traveling.

Elaine Trevasini, NP

Elaine began working as a Nurse Practitioner at Digestive Disease Medicine of CNY in October of 2005.

In 1981, she earned her degree from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing, and continued her education receiving her BSN from Russell Sage College in Troy, New York. Elaine is a 1996 graduate of the Master of Science Adult Nurse Practitioner program at SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome. She is a board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Prior to becoming an Adult Nurse Practitioner, she worked as a Registered Nurse in various settings.

In addition, she has participated as a lecturer for Partners in Healthcare Education for the Nurse Practitioner Associates for Continuing Education (NPACE).

She is a member of the New York State Nurse Practitioner Association on both the State and local levels. She is also a member of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA).

Elaine and her husband have three children and reside in New Hartford, New York. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

David Zaffino, NP

David is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has been working with Digestive Disease Medicine since 2007.

In 2007, he completed his Masters Program from the State University of New York, Institute of Technology earning a degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

David has additional clinical experience as the Director of Child and Adolescent Services at the Benjamin Rush Center and Villa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio, TX. Additionally, David has worked clinically at St. Luke’s Hospital, Berkshire Medical Center, and the Austen Riggs Center.

Other than spending time with his family, David’s interests include skiing, bicycling, traveling, and gardening.
